Morphettville Racing Tips & Preview with Nick Foot- May 11

Race 4 - G3 SA Fillies Classic 3YO Fillies (2500 METRES)

#1 Positivity

She rates clear of these off her run in the Australaisan Oaks, prior to that was a G3 winner and G1 runner up in NZ. This is clearly an inferior race to the Oaks where we saw that form stand up in the SA Derby with Coco Sun winning on the backup. She maps to get a sweet run in behind the leader.

Suggested Bet – Win

Race 5 - Listed Centaurea Stakes Fillies and Mares (2019 METRES)

#4 Sea What I See

Going for 6 on the bounce. No shock she has come up red figures in this race. She’s a very progressive Mare and hasn’t just been winning, but winning very well. Danny O’Brien has been very clear that he wants to step this Mare through her grades conservatively, with bigger fish to fry when the time is right. This is the perfect introduction to black type. She gets 4kg off market danger, SEONEE, who is racing very well but has never seen north of 1600m.

Suggested Bet – Win

Race 6 - G3 Proud Miss Stakes Fillies & Mares (1200 METRES)

#4 Grey River & #19 Right To Party

GREY RIVER was runner up in this race last year and is an underrated Mare for Jon O’Connor. Loved her FUP run, gave the winner her back and fitness gave out late. Profiles to improve sharply 2nd up.

I’ve always had a bit of time for RIGHT TO PARTY and can certainly entertain her at a big price. Lovely 800m J/O at Cranbourne and the Freedman camp place their fillies as well as anyone when looking to add some black type to their page.

Suggested Bets:

#4 Grey River – Win

#19 Right to Party – 1×3 Stake

Race 8 - G1 The Goodwood SWP (1200 METRES)

What an outstanding edition of the race. You can construct a few angles in this one, however, I’m siding with The Quokka form on top.

#15 Oscars Fortune

He beat AMELIA’S JEWEL two back, then ran 3rd in The Quokka after peaking on his run in the final 100m. He gets a 3kg weight swing on AMELIA’S JEWEL for this and looks better suited than her remaining at 1200m. Maps to go forward and be very hard to run down.

#17 Stretan Angel

I thought her run in the Sangster had merit where she pressed forward from the wide draw to sit 3 wide on a fast tempo. Her best runs are when she has the ability to be saved up and come with a big run. Drawn much kinder in 7, Blinkers are applied for the first time and with the lightweight of 52.5kg she looks over the odds.

Suggested Bet:

#15 Oscars Fortune – Win

#17 Stretan Angel – Small Win
