Adelaide will finish on top of the AFL ladder if they beat the Roo’s on Saturday at Marvel. An amazing turn around after finishing 15th last season. They will get home finals and the double the chance to give them an excellent opportunity to take out the 2025 premiership.

It wasn’t the Crows skipper Jordan Dawson or the magic of Isaac Rankine who ensured Adelaide held onto top spot on the ladder with a gutsy win over the Pies last week. It was the superb defence led by Mark Keane 23 disposals 659 metres gained and 14 intercepts, and Josh Worrell 27 disposals and 11 intercepts that repelled Collingwood’s 71 forward 50 entries for only 16 scores.

Rankine is unlikely to be seen again this year as he is the subject of an inquiry that is likely to see him suspended for 3-5 weeks.

Dawson, Millera, Hinge, Cumming and Peatling were all solid and will be important again this week. Rory Laird will return after suspension and Matt Crouch, Sid Draper and Billy Dowling are all available and playing excellent footy in the SANFL.

The Roos have pride on the line after an excellent win over the Tigers last week. Harry Sheezel had a record equalling 54 disposals and kicked two goals, whilst Tristan Xerri, laid a record 17 tackles for a ruckman. Paul Curtis 5 goals continued his outstanding break out season, which was important with Larkey out and Zurhaar subbed out early with a syndesmosis injury.

At 194cm Cooper Trembath showed good signs that he could control the Roo’s forward line for a long time with a second bag of three goals and some clever moments. Alastair Clarkson will be pushing for a strong effort against the Crows so that they can finish a poor year on an encouraging note.

North will rely on their play makers Colby McKercher, George Wardlaw if he can overcome a sprained ankle, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Harry Sheezel to create enough supply for their forwards including Jack Darling and Cooper Harvey to kick a winning score.

The Crows should be able to control the game and kick a winning score.

North Melbourne and Adelaide meet in a clash that has plenty of talking points for footy fans. Looking back at recent results, Adelaide’s midfield has shown consistency in contested possessions, while North Melbourne have relied heavily on younger talent stepping up across the ground. In past encounters, Adelaide’s defensive pressure has often caused trouble for the Roos, but North’s recent effort in clearances may offer a different challenge this time around. When considering AFL Betting Tips, many will weigh up current form, player matchups, and ladder position. These AFL Tips and AFL Predictions often highlight key moments that could shape the game.
