The NRL might not have a more extensive juxtaposition than this game. The 21-time champions, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, host the New Zealand Warriors, a team formed in 1998 after the Rabbitohs had won 20 of those titles. Of course, there’s always a budding national rivalry whenever the Warriors are in town, but given how they’ve seldom troubled the Australian teams for the spoils, it hardly feels like a grudge match.
Despite their grand stature in the game, the Rabbitohs have been appalling by their standard, notably losing 48-6 to the Roosters in Round #3. They only registered their first win last week with a slender four-point advantage over the Bulldogs. Comparatively, the Warriors have been playing better. They’ve been competitive in every match despite winning two and suffering defeat in two. It is a simple selection, but some bookmakers will still give good odds to select a Warriors win.
