NRL Round 16 Preview By Dean McHugh

19 June, 2024

We’re back to winning ways after last week, picking five winners from eight, including landing our value bet of the week. This week sees a shortened schedule with just the five games to profit from.

Dolphins vs Storm Preview by Dean McHugh

Week 16 kicks off on Friday night with a belter as the Dolphins take on the Storm at the Suncorp Stadium. Both teams come into this one off the back of good results, so confidence should be high.

The Dolphins put in a masterclass against the Sharks last week, especially in the first half and they showed great grit and determination to hold on for the victory. For Melbourne, it was kind of the opposite as they rallied from 14-0 down to beat the Warriors in New Zealand.

This one could be very tight, and tactics and game management could come into play, which is the only reason I’m not going to tip up Overs in the totals market. Instead, I’m going to opt for the Dolphins with the Handicap. It’s been eight games since the Dolphins lost by more than four, and the Storm have only won once in their last away fixtures by more than a converted try.
