AFL TIPS: West Coast v Adelaide

Adelaide is playing for a top 2 spot, and the Eagles are a rabble with one win for the season and Harley Reid their best player out injured. The Crows are on top of the ladder and want to stay there to ensure they finish top 2 and get home finals until the Grant Final.  

Adelaide is so tough to beat and their pressure and tackling is outstanding. They are No. 1 in the league for tackles. They have the tall timber up forward in Riley Thilthorpe, Darcy Fogarty and Taylor Walker as well as Ben Keays, Fogarty and Isaac Rankine. The Eagles don’t have the quality players to be able to stop them.

The Adelaide forwards will be supplied by Alex Neal-Bullen, Jake Soligo, the skipper Dawson and the veteran Rory Laird, who will return to the side this week.  The Crows will miss Max Michalanney – a crucial part of Adelaide’s backline – who was substituted out during the third quarter of Saturday night’s thumping win over Port Adelaide two weeks ago and will miss another two to four weeks with a hamstring. It means the Crows will continue their push for a top two berth without the versatile defender, who will need to prove his fitness for the finals.

Not much to be said about the Eagles and this could get ugly!
