Here are our AFL tips for Sydney v Geelong – including our best bet, player prop, and Same Game Multi, with odds brought to you by BetBetBet.
Sydney is in good form now they have players back from injury and beat the Lions last week. Although they don’t have anything to play for now that they can’t make the finals, they will be trying to finish the year strongly and set themselves up for a great 2026. Both sides have won four of their last five games. The Cats are second on the ladder and have to win to stay there and ensure they finish top two and play home finals at the MCG rather than having to travel interstate.
Isaac Heeney enjoyed spending more time forward over the past two weeks and has kicked two 5 goal bags last week and kicked 5 goals from his 23 disposals in two best on ground performances. Chad Warner and Eric Gulden were solid in the midfield and Brodie Grundy continued his excellent form in the ruck and around the ground but will miss this week due to a head knock late in the game on Saturday. Defender Justin McInerney is also out after suffering a PCL injury in the last quarter of the win over the Lions. Peter Ladhams and Will Hayward will come into the side.
For the Cats, Zach Guthrie and Bailey Smith continued their excellent form against the Bombers. Jeremy Cameron kicked 4 goals to take his total to 79 goals for the season whilst Neale and Mannagh both kicked 3 goals.
The Cats have almost a full list to choose from as Jack Henry has been cleared of injury and Patrick Dangerfield and Jack Martin are ready to come into the side.
The Swans will be hard to beat at home, but the Cats have to find a way.
Geelong by 22 points
Here’s where things get really interesting AFL Betting Tips, anyone? After what’s been a roller-coaster season, a clash like Sydney vs Geelong demands a closer look. The Swans have been solid at home, and there’s a sense they treat the SCG like their own wallet—safe, reliable, and with a cheeky wink. Geelong, on the other hand, have been grinding through a late-season push, finding rhythm but still searching for consistency.
If you’re scouting for AFL Tips, notice how the Swans tend to bounce well after wins, covering spreads with quiet confidence. Geelong’s recent form has been patchy, especially against top-tier competition. That contrast sets up a genuine tug-of-war between defensive resilience vs finals momentum.
As for an AFL Prediction, it feels like a tight contest, but tilt your head toward the Swans. Their home-ground familiarity and accuracy around goal look hard to shake, while Geelong might still be chasing their best rhythm.
All in all, keep an eye on clean ball use, defensive structure, and how each side handles pressure. In this one, precision might just outmuscle momentum.
