Here are our AFL tips for Richmond v Geelong – including our best bet, player prop, and Same Game Multi, with odds brought to you by BetBetBet.

This is a must win game for the Cats to ensure they finish top 2 and get at least two home finals. They are in great form after smashing the Swans by 43 points last week. The Tigers were very disappointing against the Roo’s in what should have been a winnable game last week.

For the Cats, Zach Guthrie and Bailey Smith continued their excellent form and it was great to see Stengle, Mannagh, De Koning, O’Sullivan and Neale play well to give the Cats a more even effort across the ground.  Jeremy Cameron 8 disposals didn’t kick a goal after being well held by Tom McCartin, but he will be keen to add to his total of 79 goals for the season against the Tigers, to give him a chance of kicking 100 goals this season. The Cats have almost a full list to choose from which is an excellent position to be in heading into finals. Neale has copped a one week suspension for a bump on Lloyd of Sydney, meaning he will be well rested for the first final.  Ollie Henry is the likely inclusion after being in concussion protocols last week, and he will be out to impress to stay in the side for the finals.

With Vlastin out injured with an ankle injury, the Tigers will need help in defence. Jacob Koschitzke has been in good form playing in the ruck in the VFL and should get a recall for the final game of the season. This may release Balta to defence to boost that area of the ground, whilst Koschitzke and Nankervis play ruck/forward. Luke Trainor has been cleared to play this week after withdrawing late last week with hamstring tightness.

The Tigers have won five games this season which is way above expectations, but they need to have a crack this week to finish on a high note. Taranto 19 disposals and Prestia 14 disposals need to get their hands on the footy to give the forwards a chance to kick a decent score.

The clash between Richmond and Geelong always draws plenty of attention, with both sides known for their intense rivalry and unpredictable outcomes. Recent performances suggest Richmond’s midfield pressure has lifted, while Geelong’s forward line continues to create scoring opportunities despite injuries. Looking back at their past encounters, close margins have been a common trend, adding weight to careful analysis before making an AFL Prediction.
