Saturday’s double header begins with what appears to be a close match on paper as the 15th placed Titans host the 16th placed Eels at the Cbus Super Stadium. However, those placings are most certainly deceiving as we have one team on the assent and one on the decline.

The team on the assent is the Gold Coast Titans who have picked up back to back wins in recent weeks. What’s more impressive is the manner of those wins. They annihilated the Warriors 66-6 and beat high-flying Cronulla away from home last week.

The Eels have lost four on the bounce and it’s hard to see where a win will come from. With that said they have a fantastic record against their opponents here, winning nine of their previous ten meetings. This includes winning on five of their last six visits to the Gold Coast. Given this record I’m not going to tip up the Titans, although I do think they will win.

Although the Eels have been poor in recent weeks, losing four in a row, one thing has been consistent for them in those defeats, and that is Blaize Talagi getting over the try line in each of them.

Bet – Blaize Talagi to score a try
