Midweek Racing Preview – Wednesday 12 August 2026

We’re hopeful of kicking off the week in winning fashion with this one. Lorax looks the one to beat here. He finished third last time out over 1100m, doing his best work at the finish, so the step up to 1200m looks ideal. Trainer Chris Waller was once again among the winners at the weekend as three of his runners finished first past the post. Expect this one to do the same.

Biripi Perfection has clocked some decent trial times recently and is worth taking a chance on in a very exposed field. She looked like she was really getting to grips with things in her last trial and for the first time looked ready for the race track. She’s drawn well and if she gets a good start, she could run her race.

G’day again. Last weekend was a mixed bag for our horse racing tips. Two runners ran third and one finished fifth, while Angel Capital was well backed and still let us down. Journalism and Fluro Neuro did pay decent odds.

This week’s racing tips start at Canterbury Park on Wednesday. Lorax ran third over 1100m last start and was hitting the line hard, so the step up to 1200m should suit him, and Chris Waller’s stable is going well. At Newcastle, Biripi Perfection makes her debut after a sharp final trial. She’s drawn nicely, but first starters are always a guess.
